Zomato Engages Fans Via Blogging Contest

zomato

With 8,547,360 foodies served till date, one thing is certain that Zomato is the most used website by food lovers. I’m not much of a foodie but I love brands that love themselves enough to do their social media in-house. In case you have missed our Twitter-style interview in 140 characters with Saurabh of Zomato, here it is.

Zomato has recently come up with an innovative way to help upgrade their product with the help of food lovers across the country. Everyone is invited to browse Zomato and give three features each on what they have liked and what they have disliked or would wish to have. So here’s your chance to showcase all your love for food and even if you are not a foodie, you will absolutely love the fact that you can win a pair of mugs on your honest feedback, with the most constructive feedback winning an iPad! You need to put it in your personal blog though, to be eligible for the contest and you start right away as they take in blog entries till the 30th of September only. For foodies without blogs, this is an amazing excuse to start one right now. To know the nitty-gritty’s of this contest and get a glimpse of the cute mugs that could be yours, here’s the link.

Contest Goodies

Brands that evolve have known to survive and in a digital age, your survival depends on how you utilize technology to reach out to your customer. By hosting a blogging contest, Zomato gets excellent feedback from a trusted community added with marketing of its product and in return gives away gifts that will be cherished. Don’t we love it when someone asks us for feedback? Imagine doing a market research campaign or even an online survey to upgrade your product and you will know how tedious, exorbitant and ineffective it will be!

In our opinion, this is an excellent all-in-one initiative towards product up-gradation, customer engagement and marketing. Moreover, we are blog-junkies and hence are always excited to have brands engage on blogs rather than the usual suspects in social media marketing.

Do give us a shout if you find any such interesting uses of the blogging platform.
