2013 has no doubt been an interesting year in the country. The year has seen the most participation on social & digital media with more people keen to follow online sites than traditional news mediums for their daily dose of current affairs. And numbers reveal the fact.
In an infographic released by ‘Youth Ki Awaaz’ - India’s largest online platform enabling youngsters in the country to express themselves on issues that matter to them - the numbers and impact created in 2013 have been 2.5 to 5 times more than the previous year. The site received 50 million hits which is 2.5 times more than 2012, 10 million pageviews which is 3 times more than 2012, and 15 million social impressions from Facebook shares alone, which is 5 times more than 2012.
