‘Why Youth’ is on the hunt for a blogger who could be the social media correspondent for the upcoming Asia’s Young Partners Forum (AYPF) and the Civil Society Program at the ADB Annual Meeting in New Delhi from 30th April to 5th May 2013. If you are a blogger in the age group of 18 to 30 years and believe you have an inspiring story to share under the theme ‘Empowerment through Development’, you can participate in the ‘Why youth Blogging competition’ to be the chosen social media correspondent.
The grand prize winner will also be given transportation, accommodation and the conference fees for the event!
Following the theme ‘Empowerment through Development’, you have to write a blog post on the importance of the youth in driving development under varying topics ranging from ‘youth employment, education and building skills’ to ‘youth working in impoverished conditions’ and ‘youth participation in sanitation and health behaviour change’. And, don’t forget to include photos and videos in your post along with sharing your blog post with your friends and family across social media networks.
Entering in the blogging competition is simple. Tweet a link to your blog post with the hashtag #Whyyouthbloggingcompetition and tag the @ADBandNGOs Twitter handle. Also, fill up the registration form at the site and mail to the given email address.
You really need to hurry up as the last date for participation is 30th March. But in case you are a blogger who believes that blogs can change the world and you want to go far as a blogger, then you can still participate in the Big Blog Exchange. It is a global hunt where 16 bloggers would travel to a new place and exchange their blogs, lives and cultures for 10 days.
Whatever you choose, our best wishes are with you. Do let us know your experiences with them.
