Social Media Buzz for Tour De India

tourdeindia facebookThe event has an elaborate website detailing every bit and subsequently has made sure that there is required buzz created on social media channels too. The event has presence on Facebook and Twitter.

The Facebook page which is the active one, has a fan base of more than 43K fans and is keeping fans updated with all the relevant developments of the race. The page is filled with updates related to the event, where should people reach out for registrations and other developments in all forms of media such as text, visuals and videos.

The event that is also going to witness celebrities such as Yuvraj Singh, Mary Kom, Ayesha Takia, etc. supporting for their individual causes on the NCR Grand Prix have tied up with the fundraising platform ‘Wishberry.com’. Recently, we have also seen I-lluminate A Child’s World To Education, using the same platform to raise funds for the campaign.

However, it was surprising to see that none of the fund raising pages work just the way the Twitter activity has stopped from the first week of November. The event which was postponed from the scheduled date has already caught some bad mouthing.

Nevertheless, David McQuaid, race director of the ongoing Tour De India feels that the country can host the World Championship in 2020. The zero carbon footprint event which touched it’s International low recently, can Hopefully wish to rise from Tour De India and also lead the beginning of the cycling revolution in India.
