Talent reality show ‘India’s Got Talent’ is airing its fifth season on Colors TV having premiered this Saturday on the 11th of January, 2014. As part of an integrated 360-degree marketing campaign, the channel had launched a first-of-its-kind Twitter concert prior to the premiere. Twitter users were invited to compose lines for a unique India’s Got Talent song to be sung and composed by music band, Agnee.

The 2-day crowdsourcing activity on Twitter had users tweeting lines along with the hashtag #IGTTwitterConcert. The best tweets were chosen by Agnee to create ‘The #IGTTwitterConcert song’ within no time. The song uploaded on the Colors TV YouTube channel on January 11, 2022 has received 61K+ views in the last 6 days.

Presenting the first TV show song with lyrics crowdsourced from Twitter users:

The video, however, does not mention the Twitter handles of the users whose lines were chosen. I had expected the video to display these handles or names, as this would only add to the objective of a crowdsourcing campaign. Instead, the lyric contributors have been displayed through a visual which features all the tweets. Post the unveiling of the song on its social networks, the channel also shared this visual and thanked each of the contributors on Twitter:

A good one by Colors! People are apparently delighted that their lines were picked up by Agnee.
