If you are passionate about your business then, one thing you would do like us is keep asking yourself ,“Have I made it Large?” This vision is shared across all businesses whether it’s a MNC or a SME. But if we look 5 years back, survival for SME was impossible with lack of resources and support. Today the gloomy picture has turned rosy. Google undoubtedly has been a mentor with its constant support and innovations for SME. With introduction of Global Market Finder (GMF), Google has once again made the SMEs smile and this time by showing the doors of foreign destinations.
GMF allows you to decide whether global markets are favorable for your business. Since the decision is not small, a complete reality check should not be missed out. Let’s say you make and sell chocolates in India and you are keen to grow your business in Asia. Ideally you will find consultants to suggest you. Nothing wrong in it but there is a cost involved. So why not use GMF and do your basic homework.
GMF provides an infographic chart which presents you opportunities based on the keywords selected. The data is a dynamic metric of opportunities available in different places in the region you have selected. In our example since we selected Asia as a region, China, India, Singapore, etc were displayed. The opportunity score which is displayed in the chart is derived from the monthly volume of your Local Searches, Suggested Bid and Competition in a particular region. Local monthly searches is an approx. yearly average of your keyword depending on the search queries made in a particular region and language. In our example, GMF shows the volume depending upon the search made by users for the keywords (dark chocolate) suggested by us. Suggested Bid is for the keywords that you provide. It is a figure provided by Adwords that estimates performance by maximum bid for a particular region to place your ad. So you know the minimum budget of the keyword ‘dark chocolate’ that will help to plan your adword budget. Competition tells you who all are bidding for the same keywords that you provided.
If we look into Box 1 we see that ‘Swiss chocolates’ are not being searched by chocolate lovers and on the contrary ‘Dark and Rum chocolates’ have a demand in Singapore. So such information lets you plan in areas where you have not thought or you were not aware off.
The data also tells me that ‘White chocolates’, ‘Godiva’ and ‘truffles’ have a demand so as a business isn’t that great to know where I can do a bit of brainstorming. Still not convinced, we have some more factors that make GMF an ideal partner for SMEs.
Why SMEs should consider GMF?
GMF is Free. It is FREE and shall we say anything more.
GMF suggests additional keywords.GMF provides a list of additional set of keywords that are also being searched in the region that you are interested. This is a ‘happy hours’ offer that will help you to think where you can look ahead.
GMF allows you to go Global. GMF allows you to search for business all over the globe. Now you can search in for regions such as Asia, Africa, America, Emerging Markets, etc. You can find the whole list in the drop down called ‘Filter’. So now going global is easy.
GMF kills the language barrier. GMF search queries for keywords conducted in 56 different languages around the world. So language won’t be a barrier here but may be if you land up in Japan without knowing Japanese.
And GMF allows you to plan your Adwords better. GMF gives you relevant information with suggested bid information upon the search you made. So now you are aware of the relevant business that is present in all the cities in the region selected by you. Go ahead, create your Google Adwords and you will be able to make better bids with relevant keywords.
So next time SMEs before you want to step on foreign shores for growing big don’t hire someone but ask GMF to be your life saver. Will you do so?
