Technology can be a boon as well as a bane. Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for Human Resource Development has once again got involved in another Twitter controversy. This time it is not for his tweets but for a very poor grade hacker who probably may not have used Twitter ever and has been tweeting as Mehr Tarar from Shashi Tharoor’s account itself.

Getting hold of his account in time, Shashi tweeted at 5:48 PM IST that his Twitter account has been hacked.

By then the hacker who pretended to be Pakistani columnist Mehr Tarar had created quite a bit of stir among Twitter users. The hacker posted three tweets from Shashi’s Twitter account, one of the tweet had Mehr tagged too. Wonder why Mehr would tag herself while she is tweeting to Shashi about their affair. The hacker needs to enhance his/her Twitter skills.

Presumably, these tweets were created to create a political stir among the two nations that don’t share a great bonding. However, Mehr did had a tough time replying to followers on her Twitter account but then she too has received support from her fans, as it is a clear case of maligning reputation.

What is more interesting is that Shashi has synched all his tweets with his Facebook page so all the three malicious tweets were posted on Facebook at the same time. The matter is being looked into and at the moment the account is deactivated. The hacker might have successfully hacked the Twitter account but couldn’t match up to the language of the minister who is also an acclaimed author. It can be easily seen if you follow the politician on Twitter.

May be next time the hacker should hack Mehr’s account and try to re-create the entire controversy. May be next time!
