Publicis Groupe-owned digital agency, Indigo Consulting is on a hiring spree. In the latest industry news, Saket Vaidya, COO, North at digital agency Webchutney, has quit to join Indigo Consulting as regional head, North. Vaidya will focus on growing the clientele base of Indigo Consulting in the northern part of the country, in his new role.
Vaidya, who joined Webchutney in 2006, was the VP, regional operations earlier to the 2012 changes in leadership at Webchutney. He was promoted to the COO role for North at that time. Vaidya comes with over 12 years of experience in domains like technology, pre-sales, account, program management, social media and human resources.
Last month, Indigo Consulting had appointed Harshad Hardikar as chief operating officer (COO). Hardikar, who comes with 17 years of industry experience, is credited with launching India’s first coalition loyalty programme, iMint (now Payback). Prior to OgilvyOne he has been associated with Rediff.com, heading the company’s online sales division, Rediffshopping.
Along with a COO, the agency hired Rimjhim Ray in the capacity of AVP, Strategy & Client Services and Hanisha Vaswani as business head of the agency’s Delhi office. Ray was heading the social media strategy department at Tata Consultancy Services earlier. At Indigo, she is responsible for steering the digital initiatives of key accounts, while also helping to expand the agency’s portfolio.
Vaswani, who was previously with Edelman, is responsible for brand building, content, and engagement strategies for clients at the agency’s Delhi office.
In 2012 full-service interactive and technology agency Indigo Consulting was acquired by The Publicis Groupe as part of its strategy to double the size of its India business by 2015. Indigo Consulting which is still working as an independent agency and churning out some great work under the umbrella of The Publicis Groupe, was conceived by Vikas Tandon in late 2000.
Its client list includes Godrej Nature’s Basket, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Liberty Videocon General Insurance, Max Life Insurance and Kalpataru.
