MTS India is onto something really cool for NH7 music festival. The telco is creating the first ever music video made with Instagram photos from people at the NH7 music festival. People at events and especially music festivals love to click a lot of photos and share them on Instagram and Twitter. MTS India is encouraging these guys to click pictures at the NH7 music festivals they attend and tag them with #MakesMeHappy and #NH7MakesMeHappy.

After the four NH7’s, all images tagged with the two hashtags – #MakesMeHappy and #NH7MakesMeHappy will be collected to create a video with a soundtrack from one of the artists from MTS Discover, the telecom brand’s dedicated discovery platform for music lovers and aspiring bands. Apart from your photos getting featured on a music video, you can also win smartphones from MTS for sharing your clicks on Twitter and Instagram!

Conceived and developed by digital agency Brandmovers India, the initiative is being extensively promoted on the MTS India social media properties. The photos with the hashtags can be seen at the NH7 Weekender page on MTS India website, and of course on MTS India Instagram page. Wall updates have been shared with the brand’s 1 million strong Facebook fan base.

Today the brand has been creating buzz and encouraging users on Twitter to tweet with the hashtag. Contests are giving away Flipkart vouchers and tickets to the NH7 Weekender, where users need to tweet stupid reasons to win a ticket.

#NH7MakesMeHappy did trend at one point in time on top 10 India Twitter trends. For one, NH7 is one of the favourite music festivals in the country and  other, and most important reason, is that the hashtag is a ‘relatable’ one to the community. NH7 indeed makes them happy.
