The month of February is the budget month in India. Moneycontrol.com, India’s number one financial portal has already kicked off the Budget 2013 Campaign. ‘The Budget Moves 2013’ is a set of three videos that show our Finance Minister grooving to some unique steps, as reported by Bestmediainfo. The TVCs are also being promoted on social media.
Without a say the videos have been uploaded on YouTube. The YouTube brand channel that has more than 2700 subscribers is getting a great response for “The Budget Moves 2013”. The video series include three different quirky dance moves that have been named as – Bull Walk, Pump Step and Kainchi Cut. However, “The Budget Moves 2013” has been the most popular one with close to 60K views in less than a week.
The Facebook presence of the portal has been integrated with this pre-budget buzz campaign. The Facebook page that has more than 627K fans is also portraying the cool moves by our Finance Minister. The videos are being shared with the fans and the likeness is slowly building up.
With February 28th inching closer, Moneycontrol has launched a funny and interesting campaign. The campaign is the extension of last year’s campaign ‘Rock the Sabha’ which had key politicians like P Chidambaram, M Karunanidhi, Mamata Banerjee and the then Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee playing guitars and jiving to the beats of rock music.
Budgetcontrol brings extensive coverage of the budget every year but in bringing a dash of humour to a serious subject like budget, the portal has added the right zing to it’s campaign and has also tried attracting the young generation by it’s social outreach.
