The one mobile maker that is truly desi and an Indian brand we can be proud of, is celebrating India’s Independence Day with a new anthem. Micromax Mobile, India’s very own mobile handset manufacturer, has released the Micromax Unite Anthem called ‘Roobaroo’ featuring 10 popular artists singing the iconic song in 9 languages!
The song from the ultimate patriotic movie, ‘Rang De Basanti’ was originally composed by A R Rehman with lyrics by Prasoon Joshi. Here it has been re-created to capture the sounds of a United India covering genres like Classic, Folk, Acapella, Beat Boxing and Rap too. The ten artists – Benny Dayal, Raghu Dixit, Neeti Mohan, Brodha V, Voctronica, Sanam Puri, Swaroop Khan, Kamaal Khan, Apekhsa Dandekar and Shruti Pathak, bring in their own style to the new anthem produced by Siddharth ‘Dub’ Sharma for Sony Music.
Initially conceptualized as an online initiative by Interactive Avenues, Roobaroo serves as an extension of the Unite 2 campaign that was launched to promote Micromax Unite 2 with support for 21 Indian languages. The Roobaroo anthem seeks to pay a tribute to the unity in diversity of our country, as music unites languages.
The anthem uploaded two days ago has over 450K+ views.
