If you have a talent for analytics, love researching, an eye for detail and cringe when you read phrases like “please check with the same and do the needful”, then Unmetric has a challenging role for you. Unmetric is looking for a young, super smart, highly motivated person with global exposure to join the Chennai based marketing team.

Right from the get go, you will be thrown in to the deep end and expected to help out with all areas of marketing the company, online and offline. You will be trained (to our requirements) in the art of Prezi, PowerPoint and Excel before moving on to platforms like Google Analytics, Kiss Metrics and Hootsuite. You’ll also be expected to learn your way around Photoshop, Camtasia and other creative software.

As a marketing executive in Unmetric, there is no main duty. You will be helping to gather social media data for the PR company, work on stories for the media, coordinate event sponsorships, participate in the online community, build relationships with blog owners, proofread content, organize the printing of collateral, competitor analysis and keeping a finger on the pulse of what’s going on in the social media analytics space.

And just to make it all that more challenging, 80% of your work will be for the US markets.

Unmetric is a startup company which means that the structure is very flat and you’ll get the opportunity to work in diverse areas of the business beyond just the marketing role.

Who is the right candidate?

The right candidate is not the most academically qualified person available. More important is someone that fits in with the office culture and has unconstrained enthusiasm for what Unmetric does. You’ll be a graduate, but you are not defined by what you studied. Engineering, MBA, BCom, BA are all fantastic degrees (our core team has people who studied engineering, law, business, aviation and history), but what really matters to us is creative intelligence, visible enthusiasm, English writing and personality. It also helps if you get tingles and chills when you see the company on sites like YourStory, Lighthouse Insights, PluggdIn, Social Samosa and all the top US sites.
