LimeRoad Launches Style Council, Ropes In Neha Dhupia, Malini Agarwal And Gia Kashyap

Social shopping portal Limeroad launches Style Council with popular fashion celebrities on board -Neha Dhupia, Malini Agarwal And Gia Kashyap. The council will also interact with the scrapbookers

LimeRoad is out with another exciting addition to its social shopping platform. The shopping portal has launched a new concept called ‘Style Council’ made up of members who are particularly knowledgeable about fashion, and is aimed to help users share their style secrets and fundas via social media.

Style Council has roped in ex Miss India Neha Dhupia, blogger Malini Agarwal of Miss Malini blog and fashion blogger, Gia Kashyap, who apart from sharing their style tips, will also interact with the scrapbooking community and users, reports Indiatimes.

The shopping portal earlier reviewed at our end replicates the way women prefer to shop. It lets you discover that perfect top, share it with your Facebook friends through scrapbooks, get a second opinion and buy it only if it gets a nod from all your friends. Enabling users to express their sense of style through scrapbooking and creating looks makes Scrapbooks an important feature of the platform.

Revealing the user acceptance for scrapbooks earlier in the month, LimeRoad had claimed of having more than 2100 scrapbookers who have created over 25,000 unique looks. But, these numbers seem to have grown as stated by Suchi Mukherjee, Founder & CEO

Today we have over 30,000+ looks which are all absolutely unique and created by our community that is growing by 50% every month. We are looking forward to providing them with style inputs from Limeroad Style Council”.

To further steer the growth of scrapbooks, the portal had also launched ‘Create & Earn’ feature that will give an incentive to the scrapbookers to earn from the looks they create. Users can avail a percentage of the sale amount of all items sold through their scrapbook looks. Though the percentage of earning had not been provided, LimeRoad is estimating that creative and active scrapbookers could earn up to Rs.10,000-20,000 per month, considering the top scrapbookers of the community typically make between 20-30 scrapbooks a month.

The addition of the ‘Style Council’ coupled with ‘Create & Earn’ will only boost the growth of scrapbookers on the shopping portal.
