Tamagna Ghosh

Spread the hami or spread the love is the message that Tamagna Ghosh is intending through his venture. Hami, a Bengali word meaning “an adorable peck on the cheek” is a world of art and photography. My quick chat with Tamagna made one thing clear that he is a man born for art, music and photography. Tamagna is also managing Hami’s presence on social media. Personally, I have a weakness towards creativity and imagination which was also one of the driving factors to talk to Tamagna. Tamagna manages Hami’s amazing Facebook and Twitter presence. I, on my behalf got excited and am all set to review it now.

Social Media Presence of Hami

Facebook: Facebook being one of the active social networks in India, Tamagna has reaped it quite effectively. With a thousand plus fans of Hami, Tamagna really needs a pat on the back.

Cool Things:
1. Hami has a unique landing page. Tamagna has used the Blurb app to showcase what is Hami. A creative way indeed as seen in the screen shot:

Landing Page of Hami

2. The Info section has been used quite rationally. Tamagna has made sure by filling the required details about his venture. Fans really look for such helpful directions.

3. Hami has a tab section called Gallery. Tamagna has used the free app of Pagemodo and has connected this to his website. A great idea that is worth incorporating by others too.

4. One may wonder that a YouTube tab will involve only videos but hats off to Tamagna who has showed his creative genius here too. With the help of Involver app, Tamagna has added his own videos and highlighted them. The way Tamagna has showed is also quite creative and the video views tell the story. A great feature that I have come across in all my social media case study reviews by startup’s/ SMEs. Very cool Tamagna!

5. Hami has added a Twitter tab for its fans to know what is going on in the Twitter world too.

Adding up the YouTube video section in a real cool way with all other features makes Hami really unique and all kudos to Tamagna. However, I’ve got some tips that might enhance Hami’s social media presence more.

Cool Tips:
1. The landing page is no doubt quite unique but one must also give reasons as in ‘WHY’ a fan should join the community. Blurb is a cool app but if you want to enlarge it then the link is diverted off from Facebook which isn’t a thing I would prefer. As a community manager, one will love that his/her fans stick to the Facebook fan page for longer duration.

2. The content being shared by Tamagna is great, helpful and being liked by the people. However, restriction of apps to a certain extent is liked by fans always. A variety in content can motivate fans to engage on the wall too. Maybe you can share your amazing knowledge about art, photography, etc. This will really help your fans and I am sure that will grow your fan base more. Finally your fans are the best ones to tell you what they want so keep asking them. It is the best way to be in line with the wants of your community.

3. Use apps such as Discussions and Questions to increase the engagement with Fans. It would be great if you can start relevant discussions or ask questions on the creations you have shared. Entice your fans and if someone likes a particular thing make the discussion complete by asking his/her viewpoints. All these efforts are bound to be appreciated by your fans and will lead to positive word of mouth.

4. Appreciate fans is a point that I make always. You can do it weekly saying fan of the week or better o give reasons as in ‘WHY’ a fan should join the community. With more interactions in a continuous way with fans, Hami is sure to rock its Facebook presence.

Twitter: With a follower base of more than two hundred and a Klout score of 40, Hami definitely has a decent presence on Twitter too. However the Twitter presence can be made little brighter like Facebook with these small tips.

Cool Tips:

Hami Twitter Engagement

1. The Twitter background is cool but lacks the trademark of Hami. I guess this is a space that Hami can explore more. Check this lovely site for more info.2. Hami has a decent community but there is no harm in connecting with likeminded people and customers too. Make sure you check out FolloweWonk.

3. Twitter needs an active presence as it is the best one to one conversation platform. So a bit more of 140 characters will definitely going to help.

4. The content that is being shared is being liked by the community but sharing the amazing knowledge that you have, with your Twitter community will really help. May be a Twitter Chat will boost your Twitter engagement. For starting a Twitter Chat, you can check this article and what apps will help you, then this is the article for you.

5.Finally monitoring your Twitter activity is required so use apps such as Klout, Twoolr to measure and align your Twitter activities according to your objective. However, Twoolr is free only for the first thirty days.

There is no doubt that Hami has a killer social media presence and all credit goes to Tamagna. From Lighthouse Insights we give a hami to Hami. Good luck!
