The job of a social media manager is not really fun. Managing one Facebook account of a client would be fine but when you have to manage an entire campaign then the situation gets really tricky. And the present day scenario of social media is that, there is too much of information overload. However saying that, we have apps that make life easy and one of them is GrabInbox. A social media management app that neatly manages your Facebook personal profile, Facebook fan pages, Twitter pages and LinkedIn page. Right! You will now ask me that there is an app overload already in the market that does the same job. Yes that is the reason why I decided to review this app and find out if it is offering something more than the regular stuff.
GrabInbox based on cloud computing is the brainchild of Nischal Shetty and Sameer Mhatre. The app was a quick one to log in and in no time I could set up my various social media profiles in GrabInbox.
Cool things about GrabInbox:
1. It is simple and the non-cluttered interface is the most appealing thing about it.
2. Gives a complete snapshot of all my profiles and their updates via a small notification box.
3. You can tweet, post updates from the app itself with no hassles.
4. You can schedule messages in advance for all your social media profiles.
5. The app also comes with a cool Google Chrome extension too.
In other words, you can manage all your social media profiles and your clients too and that is exellent.
However, the app needs to work on some areas such as providing analytics. This feature could really be the key differentiator when compared with others.
The scheduling of the tweets is not very customizable as it only provides time slots and not specific slots as Buffer does. It will be great if tweet analysis could be provided so that the user can know its performance in real time. For example, GrabInbox could suggest the user what is the best time for active Twitter engagement.
I am sure the guys behind GrabInbox must be working hard on it and should be planning to bring some cool features. But until then I am good with Hootsuite to manage my social media profiles.
Will you give GrabInbox a try? And in the meanwhile, let me grab the founders and find out what more exciting things are happening at their end related to the product.
