Spiritual leader and founder of the Art of Living Foundation, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be conducting a Google Plus Hangout today at 8:30 pm around the theme ‘What can we do for a violence-free, stress-free society?’ The spiritual guru has more than a million followers on Google Plus and with this hangout Sri Sri will be the second Indian public figure after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to host a hangout.
An impressive list comprising of Indian and global dignitaries from all walks of life will be a part of this hangout. These names include spiritual guru Deepak Chopra, Dhamma Master Hsin Dao, Times Now editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami, retired IPS officer and social activist Dr. Kiran Bedi, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara, MPs from US, UK, Sri Lanka, actors Kunal Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Grammy award winner Shaggy, Srings Music Group from Pakistan, among others.
The hangout will also include an online guided meditation by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, apart from discussing ideas for a stress-free world. Questions have been invited on Google Plus under the hashtag #srisrihangout.
The hangout has been promoted extensively on social media networks. Sri Sri’s Twitter page with more than 111K followers has been tweeting about the event and inviting tweeps to join him to brainstorm on ideas for a voilence-free world. One can follow the hashtag #srisrihangout to stay updated about the event.
An event has been created on Sri Sri’s Facebook page too, inviting its more than 232K fans to the Google Plus hangout. The hangout will be livestreamed at the Art of Living TV YouTube channel.
