Google+ Hangout On Technology In Politics With Narendra Modi At #BigTentIndia

Narendra Modi, CM of Gujarat would be sharing his thoughts via Google Hangout at Big Tent India on Technology in Politics.

narendra_modi_social_media_Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujarat and probably the next Prime Minister of India is back again at what he can do best. The techno savvy politician has been invited to share his thoughts at the Big Tent Activate Summit, 2013 which is happening in New Delhi today.

Big Tent summits are hosted by Google and the idea is to bring the finest minds and speakers from the world to talk on different issues that have been powered by Internet. These summits that have been earlier held at New York, London, Berlin, etc. are being hosted for the first time in India. The 2013 summit focuses on how Internet is changing lives, culture and economy of the country.

With a bunch of esteemed speakers, the day would also see Modi addressing his thoughts via Google Plus Hangout from 14:15 – 14:30, according to FirstSource. In addition to the hangout, Modi is expected to interact with Eric Schmidt, Chairman of Google Inc. Besides Schmidt, Alan Rusbridger, the Editor-in-Chief of British newspaper The Guardian and Stephanie Cutter, who served as the Deputy Director in US President Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, will also be joining in.

However, the news got into a bit of controversy since it stated that Narendra Modi is the only CM to be called for the event. Omar Abdullah, CM of Jammu & Kashmir has also been invited to the event, which he has clarified on Twitter. Omar won’t be joining Modi but he would be a part of another panel discussion along with Stephanie Cutter, Political Consultant, Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for HRD and Smriti Irani, Member of Parliament. The panel would be conversing on “The role of the Internet in Indian Politics” at 13:30-14:15 today, moderated by Barkha Dutt, Group Editor at NDTV.

I look forward to the Hangout since it would be from a man who would be preaching what he has been believing in.
