Gillette’s ‘Shave Or Crave’ Movement Reaches Out To Women Bloggers

About the 'Shave Or Crave' Movement initiated by Gillette where the brand has launched a blogging contest for women asking them how they would make their men crave for them, so that they get rid of their stubble.

Some time back, Actors Malaika Arora Khan and Neha Dhupia had initiated the ‘WOES’ (Women Oppose Evening Stubble) movement where women in pyjamas marched in protest of men with stubble. The WOES movement tried to establish the fact that women like their men clean shaved in the evenings too. And very recently, the celebrity couple - Malaika  and Arbaaz Khan were seen in Gillette’s ‘Shave or Crave’ movement where Malaika  had demanded her husband to shave in the evenings too, to make her feel special. The campaign announced the launch of Gillette Fusion Gamer which can be used to shave twice a day.

The movement has now stormed on to the blogging world with an enticing contest and fabulous prizes to be won. Gillette has partnered with BlogAdda, an Indian bloggers community, in an urge to women bloggers to join the movement.

A blogging contest weaved around an interesting theme - how women would make their men crave so that they would get rid of their evening stubble - has been announced with the grand prize being a return trip for a couple to Paris. In addition, there are 5 iPads to be won and a Rs. 500 voucher for every blog post!

Bloggers have also been encouraged to share about the contest on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #ShaveOrCrave. BlogAdda’s Facebook page, which has more than 7k fans, has seen regular updates about the blogging contest. Also, the Twitter page of BlogAdda has been tweeting about the contest on a regular basis. However, the tweets seem to be missing out on the hashtag #ShaveOrCrave given by the brand.

Nevertheless, the Shave or Crave movement will sure get a boost with this contest, especially with its assured prizes and a fantastic grand prize. But, how will men respond to having to shave twice a day is anybody’s guess!
