Ford India Is Running The Midnight Sale Today

About the Ford India Is Running The Midnight Sale Today and the Facebook app Ford Midnight Sale that the brand has created for the fans to spread the word about the campaign

Ford India wants you and your friends to be awake till midnight today. Today the brand is running its “Midnight Sale” as a part of its month long December Dhamaal. After doing a similar sale in the month of May, the brand is saying that 5th December is the best day to book a brand new Ford. The auto brand is giving more than one reasons to buy a Ford today – 1) Discounted prices and 2) Assured gifts up to 3.5 crores to be won today along with benefits. To reach out to a maximum number of people, the brand is making ample amount of buzz on social media too.

Social Media Buzz

The brand, which has more than 205K fans on Facebook, is using it to the maximum to create a buzz. The brand not only did a good amount of pre-buzz on the page with interesting updates but has also created a fun app ‘Ford Midnight Sale‘. Once the authentication process is over, the app gives you a snap shot of the campaign and the deals that are being offered for today’s sale. The app also asks you to share the contest with your friends by throwing pillows at them in the virtual world in the form of messages. In addition to this, you can spread the details about the campaign on Twitter or call up and give a missed call to Ford India and the brand will call you to explain the details of the “Midnight Sale.”

The app which has been built is neat and as a fan I had the control over the entire process. Facebook page is presently sharing the snaps of the lucky winners and the happy faces of customers, who are taking the car today along with assured gifts. A great way to keep the momentum going and updating online fans.

However, I was wondering as to why hasn’t the brand kept some goodies bag for the fans who are passing the pillow to their friends. This could have given some more motivation to throw pillows. Nevertheless, a great way to integrate an offline sale campaign with the social channels, especially in the month when sales are generally down as most Indians are done with their shopping in the previous two months of festivities. Still this is a great way to bid adieu to 2012 with fans.
