The nation has been in a celebratory mode of late. Beginning this week on the 12th of September, Eid al-adha, the sacrifice feast of the Muslims marked feasts, festivities and celebrations in India. Also called as ‘Bakri Id’, it is one of the holiest days in Islamic calendar and a day that brings families together. As per Islamic mythology, Eid al-adha honours Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, as an act of submission to God’s command.. The obedient messenger of god is worshiped by all Muslims across the globe, with Eid al-adha celebrations beginning right after the descent of the Hajj pilgrims.
Feasts bring families and communities together. And brands too. Like Eid al-Fitr that marked the end of the month-long fasting during Ramzan, saw an interesting display of visual greetings on social media, Eid al-Adha was also a special occasion for many brands. Eid Mubarak visuals floated on the social web with brands also joining in the celebrations. Read “42 Creative #EidMubarak Visuals, Gifs & Ramzan Videos Of 2016.”
The elements are familiar yet put together in an appealing manner: the crescent of the moon against a starlit sky, the silhouette of the holy mosque, Arabic inspired fonts and some brand connect. Eid al-adha has also highlighted our brands’ creative side with some interesting visual play at work. Here is a curated list of Eid al-Adha visuals and gifs of 2016:

Do let us know your favourites. Also do share Eid visuals that you believe are worth a mention here because they are creative, humourous, witty or have a good brand connect. We do not have an algorithm or a dedicated bot that scans the whole of social media for the most creative visuals; we make our humanly possible best effort to hunt for these visuals and as they say, ‘to err is human’, we might miss out on a few good visuals. Do contribute to complete the gaps.
