As the country inches closer to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, politics is getting murkier. Media which plays a big role is also tweaking things according to it; thanks to technology and social media, truth is prevailing. In an exclusive development, Bharatiya Janata Party has announced that it is boycotting television channel NDTV.

The press release states:

Tweet being manufactured by a channel in order to hurt BJP is unprecedented. BJP therefore has decided to keep away from panel discussions of NDTV for present.

The tweet that BJP is talking about is well explained in the below tweet:

Recently veteran BJP leader Sushma Swaraj has been unhappy about some alliances that the party is making for the upcoming elections. In fact she vented her anger over a tweet too:

Taking a cue from the tweet, media has been creating stories about the internal rift. NDTV went a step further and tweeted that Sushma Swaraj has said on her Twitter account – “If there is Modi wave in India, why is he looking for a safe seat in UP?”

Though NDTV has regretted the error but the leader had not tweeted at all. This isn’t an error, it is a deliberate attempt to malign the reputation of a national party at a time when elections are right at your door steps.

Will BJP sue NDTV on this or will NDTV say that it was a mistake from a fresher?

Will update the story if there are any more developments.
