In a recent acquisition news in the Indian mobile sector, US based Saxon Global Inc, a provider of IT consulting and solution engineering services, has acquired Bangalore-based mobility solutions firm Wit Innovation Technologies Pvt Ltd for an undisclosed amount.
Saxon Global, the data analytics and business intelligence solutions provider that enables organizations across industries to adopt IT tools and services for their growth emphasized that the latest acquisition will enable it to offer enhanced IT solutions that target customers’ needs in Big Data and mobile applications.
At the same time the development is great news for Wit Innovation that has primarily focused on enterprise mobility and offers solutions customized for verticals including education, hospitality, entertainment, media, travel and healthcare.
The company that was founded in 2006 by Sachin Garg (CEO) and Vibhor Gupta (COO) has established itself in the market as a player that bridges the gap between web and mobile by providing mobile app development, mobile website and mobile testing services to its clients.
In a span of seven years the company has worked with clients across 16 countries while building products in almost all available mobile platforms. Saxon Global acknowledges that the core offerings of Wit, experience of skilled engineering talent and deep vertical market expertise will help it.
Speaking on the acquisition, Sachin Garg shared that it will help its long standing customers who also require emerging technologies like Business Intelligence and cloud apart from enterprise mobility.
The latest acquisition from Saxon Global is a second one since in December 2012 it had acquired another Bangalore based Ideas Software and Consulting Pvt Ltd (ISAC Global), a boutique big data and web intelligence solutions firm for an undisclosed amount.
As a part of the deal, Haricharan S M, CEO and co-founder of ISAC Global, joined Saxon as COO, while Sudhir Patavardhan, founder and CTO of ISAC Global, continued to lead technology development and engineering efforts of Saxon Global. The acquisition was to boost Saxon’s expertise in big data analytics and web intelligence and complement its business intelligence and data warehousing solutions offering.
Today the Big Data company has clients like GE, Rediff, AT&T, Fujitsu and Columbia Asia.
