How much do you love your car and do you want to feature it in an upcoming Bollywood movie called Go Goa Gone. Still thinking? Okay what if the movie has stars like Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu and Vir Das in it. Now you must be excited to know more. However this contest is not an open for all contest but exclusive to Volkswagen owners. Volkswagen India gives you a chance to audition your car in the upcoming movie Go Goa Gone. How cool is that!
Volkswagen India has started this contest on its Facebook Fan page for its 60,000+ community under the tab called “My Car Superstar”. So if you are a proud owner of Volkswagen then just click the tab that will take you to the contest app. The app has two options – 1) Participate and 2) Watch the Video. You should check out the video and the terms & conditions first before you participate in the contest.

To participate in the contest, you need to upload minimum of 3 photos and for help, the app provides examples of the images too. Along with the images you also need to leave a message describing why is your car a superstar. Once you are done with this, you need to gather support from your friends in the form of likes. The Gallery section of the app is where you showcase all your selection with other participants. Even though you are asked to get likes but the page has said that the winner would be chosen on the basis of the car and the message. So I think it is a great opportunity to showcase your car and get lucky. The winner will get credits in the movie, meet the stars at shoot location and get invited for the premier of the movie too.
Must say a great initiative to generate engagement and excitement amongst fans. India is mad about Bollywood and this will also give fans a chance to showcase their cars. Till day I had heard about Facebook fans getting featured in movies and a perfect example was Nissan. Getting a car featured in a movie is something cool and unique. I believe this will get fans to talk about the brand, which is in a sorry state when it comes to fans talking about the brand.
Indian Automakers promoting on Facebook is nothing new. Last year we had witnessed how Maruti Swift had launched its new model on Facebook exclusively for its Facebook fans. However Volkswagen drives the engagement further this time and I am sure this is going to be really exciting for fans. If you are still thinking whether to participate or not, take a call before March 31st, 2012.
