The Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi is giving nightmares to the UPA government with its new ways of governance. Being labelled as an anarchist by the opposition, the CM of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal along with party workers, has started a 10-day protest in the heart of the city.

The CM has demanded that the Union Home Ministry suspend three police officers who refused to make a series of arrests ordered by his ministers. To remind you the entire controversy had started when last week Delhi Law Minister, Somnath Bharti conducted a self-described midnight raid in a South Delhi neighborhood, and asked the police to arrest Ugandan citizens and raid a house allegedly said to be trafficking drugs and sex. The police refused, saying they had no warrant.

Later the episode turned into a racist controversy when four women known to be Uganda citizens, filed a case alleging that they were beaten up by a mob, and forced to submit urine samples. However, they tested negative for drugs.

AAP, which has been quite aggressive on social media from its inception, has been making use of social networks to clear the air. With more than 3.8M fans on his Facebook page, Arvind Kejriwa had posted yesterday the reasons why his party and his members were going to sit on protests.

Though in his last Facebook update he has requested the citizens not to join the protests, the latest message on his page requests the common man to join –

“We call upon the citizens to join this protest. If you believe that you have had enough and that the Delhi police needs to change its approach to law & order enforcement for a better city, Join us in our protests. Your government is standing firmly with you, for you.”

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Facebook page has been quite at work by breaking latest happenings and clearing confusions about the protest. In one of the recent Facebook updates (embedded below) the party cleared its stance that while it has no intention to disrupt January 26 preparations but women’s security in the capital is a grave matter.

Twitter has been buzzing from the start of the day with the kind of protests called by AAP party. #KrantiKariAAPGovt has been trending since morning at the top of India Twitter Trends. Find the list of most talked about tweets on Twitter here:
