There are very few who get a second chance in life, Aam Aadmi Party founder and head Arvind Kejriwal is one of them. After ruling the Delhi government for 49 days in his first term as CM, Arvind is back again and this time with a sweeping majority. In the recently concluded Delhi elections, AAP has got a thumping majority winning 67 of Delhi’s 70 seats.
Life is going to come to a full circle for Arvind who would be taking oath as chief minister at the Ramlila grounds on Saturday, February 14. It was this day last year that he had resigned as he did not have the numbers in the assembly to push an anti-corruption bill.
This Delhi election has been a landmark election since a whopping 53 percent share of the votes favoured AAP. Which also means that the opposition benches in the Delhi assembly will only have three seats for BJP legislators; Congress, the party that ruled Delhi earlier for 15 years has won no seats.
“Don’t get arrogant, the Congress and the BJP were defeated because of arrogance. We have to do a lot of work for Delhi,” said Kejriwal to the ecstatic workers crowding the road outside the party office. Meanwhile the would be Delhi CM has shared his winning joy with his wife Sunita which is now becoming viral.

With exit polls already delivering a clean chance for AAP to make a comeback, no one would have dreamt of this landslide victory, especially at a time when the party has been mocked at for running away from responsibilities, internal party problems and core team members leaving due to disputes with Arvind.
Both Facebook and Twitter reflect peoples’ ecstasy since the early part of the day. Delhi Legislative Assembly has been trending on Facebook and hashtags like #AAPSweep, #AAPKiDilli and #KisKiDilli has been dominating Twitter trends. There isn’t an iota of doubt that Delhi elections like the last year’s Lok Sabha elections, was fought aggressively on social media too.
Over the last few months we have seen how BJP and AAP have fought over social media specially on Twitter. On a given day two to three hashtags have been dominating the Twitter trends as well as the minds of the netizen. The latest example that can be cited is BJP and its supporters trending #HawalaAtMidnight and AAP supporters attacking the negative sentiment with #JawabDoAVAM.
Facebook pages have been a visual delight while both parties focus on their Delhi agenda but at the same time didn’t stop taking a dig at each others’ policies and resulting controversies.
By the end of the election campaigning days, BJP really went hard on attacking AAP, the below Facebook post is the best indicator.
Supporters have been anxiously waiting for the results. With the counting going live, Twitter was reflecting every change and how the votes are impacting every party. In a matter of first 15-20 minutes it was clear that the people of Delhi have once again shown their faith on Arvind Kejriwal and his band of new age politicians. Trends like #AAPSweep, #AAPKiDilli and #KiskiDilli started dominating the Twitter space.

This also meant that Kiran Bedi, BJP’s CM candidate and Narendra Modi had to face the heat of the common man, making the present NDA government realise that it will need to introspect the reason why it could manage to win only three seats in Delhi.
And lastly n not leastly, lets convert leaders from arrogance to ones with sense of service n humility ! Lets get it done PM @narendramodi

‘I haven’t lost…it’s the BJP that lost. They’ll introspect’–Kiran Bedi. Whoa. Has she already applied for a job in AAP? — Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash) February 10, 2015
Quote of the week from Kiran Bedi: “I haven’t lost. The BJP has lost. Let them introspect.” Also a job reapplication to AAP? — Sachin Kalbag (@SachinKalbag) February 10, 2015
