Believe me curating articles is the toughest job on a weekend! I have tried my best though to get you some of the interesting articles or blog posts that I have come across.

1. Anti-Social Networking : An interesting article and one of my favorite for the week too. Fahad Samar highlights the story how the entertainment supplements of most national newspapers gleefully carried headlines about the Twitter war between actress Chitrangada Singh and Poonam Pandey. However the interesting thing is that Chitrangada in not at present on Twitter and the poor girl was unwittingly dragged into the whole story. This story is similar to the ones in which twitteraties kill stars on Twitter without even finding out and insanely retweeting it. 140 characters are no more fun but a very essential part of our life and it also brings back to the debate - how creditable is Twitter as a news source?

2. Influence on Social Media - Myth or Reality : Gautam Ghosh who was recently judged as one of the influential HR people on Twitter by SHRM shares a thought provoking blog post. This also brings us to the much-debated topic of influence and Gautam shares his thoughts on how effective are such reports. Interestingly the report only considers Twitter and ignores other networks, especially blogs.

3. American Express India Violating Facebook Guidelines : Brandjugaad blogs about how American Express India is violating Facebook Guidelines. Not a new thing but then it is good to see agencies are blogging about such ignorance from brands. Worth a read if you are still ignoring Facebook guidelines.

4. Bajaj Allianz, Sachin Tendulkar and Retirement Planning : Well a brand trying to cash in from a hype falls flat. Karthik highlights this Twitter goof up by Bajaj Allianz, which wanted to bake in the success of Sachin’s historic movement. Sorry guys you really need to learn how Twitter works and it doesn’t take a while to spread on Twitter.

5. How To Use Affiliate Marketing In Your Blog : Affiliate marketing is doing the rounds these days and it’s a way how bloggers can make money. I am not doing it at the moment but I thought of sharing a useful blog post, which was a guest article at Jane’s blog- Pro Blogging Success.

Hope you find the curated articles interesting and if you want to add few more to the list, then let us know in the comments or just tweet us at @LHInsights.
