For those of us unaware of 21fools, here’s a beautiful campaign called ‘India says Thank You’ by the greeting cards company on the occasion of Independence Day. On behalf of all of us civilians, 21fools will send ‘Thank You’ cards and rakhis to our soldiers posted at the borders, in appreciation and gratitude for keeping us safe. And, what’s best of all is that the cards are free!

The company that believes in ‘Be Happiness’ is out all to spread happiness and smiles on the soldier’s faces via ‘India says Thank You’. After a successful start last year with 1700 Thank you cards sent, the company aims to reach out to 1 lakh soldiers this year. And there are many ways in which we can make this possible.

Firstly, one can visit the website and select a pack of cards ranging from a single card to packs of 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 500 and 1000. And these will be shipped by 21fools to the soldiers at the border. One need not pay for this, but is free to pay an amount if they wish. The card can be previewed on the site, as well as the initiative shared on Facebook and Twitter.

The other way is to send them a photograph that conveys your gratitude to the soldiers. 21 Fools will make a greeting card out of that photograph and send it to the soldiers. All you need to ensure is to use the hashtag #IndiaSaysThankYou while sharing the photograph on Facebook and Twitter, additionally you can also tag them at their Twitter handle. This way the campaign also manages to leverage the power of social media to help spread the word.

The 21 fools Facebook page with more than 18K fans, has also been sharing about ‘India says thank you’, and inviting fans to join the initiative. On the 140-character social network Twitter, it is connecting and sharing the initiative with influencers and celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Gul Panag, among others. One can also follow #ThankYouIndianArmy on Twitter.

A cool initiative by a greeting card company and a cooler way to engage with fans.
