What is Company Buzz?
Apps make your experience more efficient and engaging which is a sublime rule for it to survive. Company Buzz, a twitter powered app brings all the buzz of your past and present companies on LinkedIn. Company Buzz sucks the entire buzz about a particular company from Twitter and sends it to LinkedIn. We tried Company Buzz and found it to be simple and useful app.
How it works?
Company Buzz works on the search patterns that you are looking for and it fetches all the desirable matches from Twitter as displayed in the below picture.
Overview
COMPANY BUZZ |
Box 1: It is the search zone where you define the word or words that you are interested in finding the buzz for. For example in the above picture we have added ‘Blackrock’ as the search keyword as we were interested in finding how the company is doing and what are people talking about it and Company Buzz got all the buzz for us.
TIP:1. While adding keywords for search, please read the search tips. It gives you quick guide how the search works and what tweaks you should do when you are searching for more than one word, either of the words, etc.
2. Before clicking on the ‘Save this search’ button, check the outcome and then save it. Make sure that you fetch desired results.
Box 2: Is a small zone where you can find all your saved searches that you have created. Click on each of them to find the latest buzz. You can add more by clicking on the ‘Save this search’ button and you can ‘Manage’ them too. ‘Manage’ involves editing the search keywords and deleting them.
TIP: Add them and keep tweaking them for better results.
Box 3: It displays the list of ‘Buzz Words’ that are trending. This is a quick way to know what people are talking most about. For example we selected Blackrock to give us the Company Buzz and the buzz words provided us the latest most used words. In our case ‘Ratings’ was the buzz word. If you click on the particular Buzz word it will display a list of additional information. Finally if the content attracts you, then you can share it with the interested parties via email or retweet it to make it more trending.
Box 4: Is a graphical representation how a particular company is trending from Monday to Sunday on Twitter.
Box 5: Is the displayed result of your searches you performed. These results are real time. If you like a content published by someone then you have the choice to find more about the person by clicking on the name. If you like the content you can either share via mail or retweet it on twitter or if you want to start a conversation you can directly reply to that person. Finally if you find the search content really useful and want to share the content with your community, then you can click on the ‘recommend this search’ to be displayed on your wall.
Settings
Settings allow you to control the way you want to share the search results with your community. So if you want to update your community every time you add a search, then check the button and save the details.
TIP: If you are adding too many search results then it’s better to switch it off otherwise you would be spamming some one’s personal wall.
