Do You Buffer your Tweets?
April 30, 2022 | Posted by Prasant under TwitterApp |
How many tweets do you send in a day? Is it 5, or if you are an addict like us, then you might do 10 or maybe you beat Guy Kawaski too! Whatever the count, 140 characters have redefined how we share content with our community. But the problem with Twitter is that the more you tweet, the more you want to tweet. The more you read, the more you want to share. So you either directly click the tweet button or use an app to schedule. Even we schedule our tweets at times to keep the streamline active for 14 hours but the process is not so easy. You need to manually go and schedule the tweets but what if you get an app that does the job for you. Imagine a situation where you like an article - you just click and the app takes care of the tweeting business. It is possible now and Buffer does it. Buffer, as the name says takes your tweets, buffers it and does the job even when you are sleeping. Imagine this situation where you have friends in the US and you stay in India like us. What will you do, either use Buffer or do a manual scheduling with other Twitter apps? We are smart guys so we use Buffer. We are kind too, so here we are sharing our insights on it.
How do I Buffer?
Buffer, an initiative that was brewed by Joel and Leo was initiated to make the Twitter experience easy and enjoyable for the users. We would have loved to show you how we Buffer our tweets but thought of sharing an existing video by the Buffer guys itself. Have a look and let us know if you are not excited to Buffer your tweets.
What else is cool about Buffer?
You know how to buffer your tweets but you would want to play around with settings and other features. All these are provided on your buffer dashboard. Simply login via your Twitter account and you would land on dashboard that looks like this
Settings

SETTINGS |
Box 1 displays all your settings that are related to your account. In the free version you can add only one account and you can also provide your url shortener details but that feature works when you go premium.
Box 2 provides you stats about your buffer. It displays the list of tweets that are in Buffer and how many have been sent from Buffer. You are also provided a list of timings that you can edit and choose when you want your tweets to be tweeted on the stream line.
TIP: We have timed the Buffer in a way so that when we sleep our Twitter streamline is active. And when you add a new timing don’t forget to click on Update Times to save your changes.
Box 3 displays settings by which you can invite other team members so that you can manage your Buffer in a better way. This feature is active for premium members.
TIP: Even though this is a premium feature, it is a great option for businesses who want to manage Twitter in an effective manner.

MY BUFFER |
Box 1 is a small tweeting space where you can tweet instantly or Buffer it. ‘Suggest me a Tweet’ is a cool way suggesting you a tweet if you are running short of tweets. We like this and Buffer what about you guys tweeting tweets specific to a domain specified by the user?
Box 2 is the upgrade section, if you click on the Upgrade button it would lead to the pricing section. We won’t suggest what you should go for as it’s your choice, though we would tell you that spend some time with Buffer and then look ahead.
Box 3 has two sections Pending and Analytics.
Pending shows the list of tweets that are waiting to go on your streamline. After seeing your timeline if you think you are not happy then you can edit, rearrange the timing and delete it. Isn’t that cool allowing you complete freedom of controlling your buffer.
ANALYTICS |
Analytics is a new addition to Buffer and we find it an effective one. Adjacent to each link, analytics shows number of retweets occurred, how many people clicked on the link and what was the reach of your tweets. This is a quick way to analyse how effective your tweet was and I think a great initiative to attract more efficient twitteraties.
Goodies
This section lists all the handy extensions that will make your Buffer experience really cool. We use the chrome extension of Buffer and for other happening actions that are being performed you can check the Buffer blog.
Referrals
You are using Buffer and want to spread the word, then you can invite your friends. So go ahead and invite them and in return get a space for one extra tweet for you as well as your friend.
Account
Account lets you update your password and select your time zone. You can also edit the way notifications should be informed to you. Finally if you like the app and want to carry this experience ahead then click on Upgrade now button.
Feedback
Have ideas or a problem then give a shout via the feedback and our experience tells us that Buffer guys are quick in replying.
Go ahead, Buffer your tweets and relax!
